I haven't been able to find a component to DisplayPort adapter. Best I have been able to find was a component to HDMI or to a VGA adapter at Monoprice.
Their HDMI version had many reports of "crushed blacks" and reduced PQ which is no surprise to me considering the price.

The monitor I'm now using has HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort & VGA. All but the DisplayPort are in use so, logically I would want to use that for the input. The devices that I have, I would prefer to use their component output. All (that I could find) current PC monitors do not have component inputs anymore.

Any ideas? I would like to stay under $100 or so depending on what's available. Surely not too much over that.

Buy a KVM switch? DVI versions have come down in price while adding features. 4 port vga versions can often be found for less than $30

I already have a 2 port VGA KVA switch for the ability to connect a 2nd PC and use the existing mouse & keyboard.

From your handle, you want to be able to see component/composite video sources on your monitor?

Maybe research the Hauppauge HD PVR

I've seen them as low as $160 on sale.
