Component Out Ploblems

I'm trying to connect my Geforce 6600GT up to my HDTV using component cables. I set the properties to clone and it outputs on my TV but everything looks purple. No matter what I do I can't get it to display correctly. There is no option to output component, only scat, s-video, and composite I have also hooked it up to my dell 2405 by component and displays the same way as my TV. I have the latest nvidia drivers and when the computer boots up it looks perfect but once the logon window comes up it goes to purple. Anyone have any ideas or know how to fix this problem? Thanks

Welcome to AT.

I'm using component output from my 6600gt and it works fine for me.

If the colors are right before windows, it sounds like it's probably a driver problem and not a physical connection problem.

What happens when you just select HDTV as the primary single display under nview settings?

set as single to the HDTV and Dell 2405 still looks all purple. I have tried two different component cables and I have SLI and when its not in SLI mode, the second card does the same thing. The highest I can set the resolution is 1024X768 @ 32bit. Both monitors also I have to scroll with the mouse to see other parts of the screen.

also, forgot to mention that if the TV is primary single that the screen size is correct and doesn't scroll when as in clone mode

I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling the video drivers to see if that might clear it up.

I am also having the same problem. 81.94 drivers are not detecting a component connection. I am getting nothing but a bluish hue on my HDTV. I am told the vid card is trying to send a composite signal through. How do you force the Nvidia drivers to output component signals to TV?

well the component out works fine with the nvidia drivers uninstalled, but once I install them it goes to purple.

Going back to 78.01 drivers fixed it for me. Setup panel detects the TV as HDTV using component cables.
