Component -> HDMI adapter

I am installing a new projector in my living room to replace my old TV. I am running in wall HDMI to the ciling where the projector will be. Rather than running 3 component wire and an HDMI I decided to see if there was an adapter that will convert component to hdmi. Does anyone know of a cheap one?

That requires a analog to digital conversion...so no...there will not be a cheap one.

Quality can suffer by doing that if the d/a converter isn't a very good one. You'd probably be better off getting a good receiver that can do Component -> HDMI conversion, then just run the 1 HDMI out from the receiver to the projector.

Its only for the Wii. I dont think the quality will suffer that much.

You're better with analog cables for long distances.

Go to monoprice.com and buy a long component cable to run alongside the hdmi. That way, when you inevitably run into some handshake issue with that damn hdcp standard, you'll still have a component run and you won't notice the difference.

Still, running everything through a converting receiver isn't a bad idea.
