Component Cable/Dvd/Tv problem

I finally took the plunge and put the dollars for a set of component cables for my dvd player. I had been using S-video.

Anyways, I hook them up and the picture is red. I thought maybe somehow I hooked it up wrong but I double checked the colors and they are correct. I doubt this could be the cables since they do provide a signal. As troubleshooting, I hooked up each cable one at a time and each cable enhanced the picture except the last cable(Red) gave the picture it's redish tint.

Is this my TV or DVD player? I don't have anything else that uses component connections.

I fixed the problem just as I hit the post button.

I had to go into the DVD player menu and change the video output scheme.

DOH!!!!
