Hello there peeps... I have a very very complicated (for me) internet sharing problem, here's the scenario.

I'm connected to the net using a cable modem broadband provider...that uses VPN to connect to their network...meaning i have a cable modem which is attached to my LAN card and then i uses a VPN to connect to the ISP (VPN IP of 192.168.0.1).

Now how do i share the internet to other PC on my network without using a router? My PC consists of 2 LAN card and other PC is connected via a HUB.

I cannot use Microsoft Internet Connection Sharing because it also uses 192.168.0.1 as the default IP address for sharing...is there any possible way of changing that IP?

Is it possible for someone to connect to my PC using VPN so that they can surf the net?

Few Questions:
What is the IP address scheme of your local network?
The VPN address of 192.168.0.1, is that the address of the VPN server you connect to?

Oh yeah, in the mean time, head to www.downloads.com, search for Proxy, and install one of the freeware proxy products available. Download one of the newer products so that you know it supports the latest OS.

my original local area network scheme is set to 192.168.0.1 and then suddenly my cable modem provider say that they have a new system that needs the user to have some sort of a dial up account which uses a VPN that has an address of 192.168.0.1 also.

So i don't have a big problem in changing the whole scheme of my LAN but the only problem i'm encountering right now is that i can't use Microsoft ICS because of that conflict.

I will try to look for free proxy products in download.com later. I've already tried sygate office network and it doesn't work.

Thanks very much mamisano. Hope it works :)
