I was expecting a package yesterday to be delivered to my college dorm. The drivers usually give it to the front desk and then we get a slip in our mailbox telling us that we have a package.
Problem: The tracking info says delivered, but the front desk people have NO idea where the package is. It's a pretty small, but valuable package, about 1 pound, but worth about $100. I have an image of the front desk attendant's signature (from the FedEx tracking info), but they STILL don't know where it is.
The guys working at the desk today left a message with the lady who signed for the package to call them back. What is the proper course of action to take if the package can't be found? File a claim with FedEx? Or get the University of Michigan to pay me back?
