Complex Numbers and Exponents

I'm trying to find a formula that will allow me to program the exponentiation of complex numbers of the form:

(a + bi)^n


i'm searching on the net, but am unable to find anything, it's mainly polar formulas i'm finding.

just multiply it out. If your exponent is large, then you need to use the ugly polar stuff.
