Completley new to home networking..

I am building a new rig in about a week, and I want to network my current one and the new one together. I have the hardware side of everything set up (ie: cables, network cards etc) but I haven't the slightest idea of how to get the network up and running in the software dept. Both machines will be running Windows 2000 Professional.
Could someone direct me to a good home networking tutorial?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Damn these forums. After I made the link, I realized it was screwed up and I edited it. The changes stuck (I thought).

Then you inform me the link is messed up. Strange, I think, I fixed that. So I edit it and leave a message saying the link is fixed.

Now my message saying that I fixed the link is gone.

I wonder if you'll even see this message 😉
