Completely re-installing everything

Right well to get to the point my comp is kinda slow and its not spyware or viruses and it has a LOT of junk and im one of these people that dosent like to uninstall things in case i need them again. SO im reinstalling windows and everything. I just got one question:

Ive got two hard drives, C: and D: windows is on the slightly faster C drive along with everything else, everything i dont want deleted will be placed on the D: drive, now if i go for the complete format and reinstall of the OS, it wont touch drive D: will it?
