completely random question about car radios

Alright i just bought a used 1995 volvo 850 and i LOVE the car

but the radio SUCKS it doesnt even get the next towns radio station in flawelessly.

i was wondering if there was something i could do myself to the antenna to perhaps improve the reception slightly, perhaps put tin foil around to conduct the waves better or something

any homemade radio boooster ideas out there?
 
get a signal booster from radio shack. it will help a little but do not expect miracles.
 
If you really want to get radio, you could go for the satellite radios.
Of course this solution is similar to fumigating your house to kill a spider.
