i think the background is too gray and the "home" tab on upper right corner is not necessary IMO.

you have to understand that the company is getting this for free, they are going from a previous geocities 1995 looking site with nothing to this. also how much more "flashy" would you want it? i mean i figure you make it easy and fast to navigate and read and you have everything you want on a website.

The 'Home' and 'About Us' pages need to be rewritten desperately with proper grammar and structure.
Typos on Products & Services: Catering page -
Al a Carte - should be 'A la Carte'
State-Fair - should be 'State Fair'
Rib-Eye - should be 'Rib Eye'
Pork chops - should be 'Porkchops'
And what's up with the 2 extra zeros at the end of the prices???? Do they accept half and quarter pennies?
Under the Products & Services main page there are 3 different 'Cuts' options to click on but they go to a page that offers no cuts at all. As a matter of fact, the 'Lamb Cuts' page says "ALL LAMB CUTS GO HERE".
I also get blank pages when trying to view the photos. Firefox 1.0.2 here.
Another little thing that's bugging me with this site is the way the words 'Phone' and 'Fax' are aligned on the right side of the blue bar on the bottom. The text in the left side of that blue bar has left alignment. Either line up the words 'Phone' and 'Fax' or use the same number of spaces between the colon and the '7' in the phone number.
There is more but that's a start.
But hey, the logo isn't that bad.:beer:

its not finished, you found most of the not finished stuff. we still are doing data entry in the database, we are still coding the products page, and we have yet to create a style sheet for the product pages.
photos hasnt been coded yet.
and the phone/fax thing will get fixed.

It's a pretty decent start, but it could still use some improvement.
I'd make the background white, not gray or browser default.
Make the menu bar, where it says "products," say "products and services," because it's not obvious where to find catering services.
Also, make it possible to jump directly between the different products and services without using the back button. Maybe use a cell on the left of each product page that contains the list/links to the other other products and services.
And finally, yes, the "About" and "Home" pages are pretty badly written. The important points are not well emphasized, and the sentence structure isn't very good.

we didnt write those, those were given to us. we put up what is given, the only money we are giving is zilch.
and the jump menu will be included we have to code that in still yet. we have about another week before the site presentation to the class at which point we dont need everything done, but we will still have to create an admin page where they can edit the database and what not
also, can someone else make sure my directions page works like it should? i know it works from my house but make sure it works else where.

I like the look since I like functionality and usability vs flash.
If any criticism, I would have to say that I don't like that any visitor has access to the admin login. And also there doesn't seem to be any validation for what you type in there, since if you just hit login you get a nice exception report. (not that I was trying to hack in, just wanted to see if you had put something there).

we still have 2 weeks to finish it. we just needed that there right now so as to allow us to log in and do our presentation that was on tuesday to our class. an actually error page will be there in the future however. also, we werent really sure how we wanted to implement the login, we could make it so that the company has to type in a specific url, or that one link could link you there. we decided that that link there would be the simplest and most effective for the company. its not like hacking it will be that easy.
