It seems like, compared to previous info, the 8600 Ultra has become the 8600GT, and the 8600GT has become the 8600GS. I had my doubts about the Ultra moniker being affixed to a midrange card.

If 8900GTX/X2800XTX won't offer a good speedbump over my 8800GTX(over 25%) I think this time I'll keep my card and go SLI..
We will see.. Let's have a look at d3d10 games first... :p

It's ok though, I'm patient. By the time I have enough money to buy the top of the line R600 I might have died two times.

Product lines seem way too similar to me, especially with the "GX2" parts at the top end. All this Inquirer/chinese text info seems fishy to me.

Agreed.. It seems like they almost copy paste the previous gen lineups and presented them..
It could be valid though but I lean towards shens

Thats right! Wonder if it's worth it, though. I might go single x2800xtx (hopefully Crossfire :p)

I was thinking the same.

Don't think I would buy anything based on this site.

That X2800XL looks pretty good at 399$..

512-bit memory bus, 512 MB of VRM, and 96 shaders..

while the 8900GT is supposed to counter it - only 256-bit memory bus, 512 MB of VRM, and 96 shaders

The ATI looks like it'll have better high-res / AA performance for the price as long as it has that 512-bit bus..

Now let's see which one can create better DX10 drivers :)
