I live in the Charlotte, NC area and have a 32" Sony Bravia (KDL-V32XBR2).

I just tried a cheap non-amplified rabbit-ear style VHF/UHF antenna ($10 at the local Wallyworld) and was able to pick up two stations with very nice clarity.

My question is, does anyone have specific recommendations for the best indoor antenna to use with this HDTV? I checked on antennaweb.com and they list 4 stations about 13-15 miles out, one about 19 miles away, and 4 more about 35-37 miles away.

I have seen good reviews for the Terk TV5 antenna but really just wondered if anyone has any further input on this choice (especially from anyone in this area).

Indoor Antennas
Due to multiple variables in determining good reception in a specific location with indoor antennas, these antennas are not included in this mapping system. This mark, however, assures that an indoor antenna meets or exceeds CEA performance specifications for indoor antennas in households that can use indoor antennas.

They don't give specific recommendations on antennas, just general types to use, and even that only covers outdoor antennas. The "street level" guide gives angles & orientation for best results but it is all for outdoor models.

You may need to try a few different models to find the one that works best for you. I had the best reception with the Zeneth Silver Sensor which is now sold by another company under a different name (IIRC).

Check the forums at: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb
They have local HDTV info that may be some help.
