Alright, i've searched everywhere to see if i can find a solution to my problem, and have had no luck. I built my computer around a month ago, and everything went ok. A few crashes here and there but nothing major. Today my computer froze 3 times while playing Call of Duty 4. It doesnt shut down, but it also doesnt recover from the freeze. It seems like the computer or perhaps the video card itself crashed. I think the problem is the power supply, and suggestions on what to do?

If the PSU is of poor quality, insufficient output or both, then how about trying a different, high-quality PSU which has at least adequate wattage for you rig.

Seasonic and Corsair are a couple to think about, and I've heard good remarks about the Antec Earthwatts units too.

coxmaster,

You can buy a PSU tester cheap - Radio Shack for maybe $20. Good diagnostic tool to have on hand... EDIT: Or borrow one.
