Compiz Likely Getting Dropped From fedora

I've got the desktop cube going on now with my Ubuntu box. It's become part of my normal routine switching between screens, so it'd take me a while to recover if I lost it. Lucky for me, I never jumped on board with Red Hat desktop stuff. I only work with RHEL via console.

Not much of a Unity or Gnome 3 & Gnome Shell fan here. I'm using Fedora 16 and in LDXE as this is written. Did use Ubuntu and Debian but felt compelled to switch distributions and desktop environments / window managers. Ubuntu was causing me to feel really dumb in some ways, Compiz may have been part of that. Debian was dragging along. Fedora is moving the file system toward more harmoniousness with Unix. This to me seems logical and more efficient.

"One file system to rule them all!" "muhahaha" Uh oh, that manic laughter wasn't supposed to be aloud.

I don't think they're the only distro either. I hope the project sticks around. It doesn't do anything I /need/, but I have fun with the desktop effects. That helps make up for the lackluster gaming experience.

Idk, is missing out on the latest EA studio product really missing out? But I do get you. There is a new Linux-based game store client out. I think the games look fun.
