Competitors to Sony SZ Series

...plus I'd rather not buy a sony....

So I'm looking for a notebook that is around 4 pounds but is resonably powerful. The Sony SZ is the only one I can find with core duo and a decent graphics card. I need the laptop mostly for basic stuff (web/Office) but I occasionally play games so I want some capability there. What are your recomendations.

5 lbs. (not 4, sorry), but an x1600, good battery life, the ability to take a bay battery, pretty nice looks, etc. The price seems decent for the specs. I don't know anything about ASUS support, but a friend has an ASUS that he's been pretty happy with for a while.
