When exactly does an incumbent "start" campaigning?

Since one is already in office, one's actions should determine if they would be re-elected. Essentially, he has been campaigning since the 2000 election.

The President has been campaigning for over 6 months. What are all those fund raisers about?

Serious campaigning is probably being kicked off by the Russert interview. We'll see if Bush stumbles badly or just stumbles. The American public loves him when he stumbles. It's a malaprop, Yogi Berra kinda' love. But if he stumbles badly it could get interesting.

Right now, I do not think Kerry will beat Bush. Kerry has too many negtives. And make no mistake about it, Kerry is going to get NUKED by the Elephant Noses.

If the Dems want to even stand a chance they need to hit the Dub over the Head with Iraq constantly, especially in the Debates!

He's probably going to be drinking it too unless Americans wake up, which I doubt.
