Looks like Saleen wanted to give the new Koenigsegg CCX a run for its money. Now we just need someone (Top Gear?) to do a comparison between them and the Veyron and see just who is tops.

Nice post. I have had subscriptions to the Top 3 car mags for many years now; I read all the articles w/great enthusiasm. These "Top Speed, Top Dollar!" type articles are awesome.

But they only cater to the super-rich. I.E., if you can afford the CAR, you can afford the INSURANCE and the spare parts, dealer costs, etc.

So, the comparos are all fun to read about, but have no bearing in the real world where I drive my 6 year old, paid for, gas guzzling SUV.

Side note: I am hopelessly lost in the past. Someday I will restore a 1970-74 Dodge Challenger and call it my own. Yes: I know that they are coming out w/a New Challenger! It's awesome (I want one) but it's not the car I owned 20 years ago.
