A week ago we had or Dell rep swing by and the brought with them a compellent rep. Looks like Dell is now selling Compellent storage and is moving away from EMC. The rumor is that Dell will not be able to sell the CX5 series of EMC SANs. Anyway the Compellent presentation was very interesting. Next year when we replace or EMC array it looks like it might not be another EMC solution. Anybody have any experience with a Compellent array in there DC?
 
I have managed a Compellent storage system as well as a Netapp previously. I can say that I very much like the Compellent system as long as you are only using block storage. The data progression technology that they talk about works and works very well. I'd be happy to answer any questions that you might have.
