I just wanted to make sure I didn't make a mistake...I just bought the following from newegg.com....

Motherboard
ABIT AS8-V Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 865PE ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

CPU
Intel Pentium 4 630 Prescott 800MHz FSB LGA 775 EM64T Processor Model BX80547PG3000F - Retail

Memory
PNY Optima 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered System Memory Model D1GBPC32OPT - Retail

Does this look like an OK bundle?

Thanks for any comments.

PS - One last question - if the MB only has Serial ATA, I'm assuming I cannot use my EIDE Hard drives with it, correct?

I don't see a reason why this bundle wouldn't do just fine. In answer to your last question, your correct. If the mobo has only SATA, you cannot use your IDE drives. However, that mobo does have IDE channels, so your all set.

cool....

If you know off hand - are the SATA and PATA interfaces different?

Or do I just plug the PATA into the same interface, and it's "backwards" compatible?

Thanks again
