is it possible to take an apple cd rom drive and put it ina pc or a disk drive from apple or an apple hard drive? i ask because i got free apple stuff abnd am building a pc

yes. IDE is IDE, an "apple" HD is identical to a "pc" HD.

things like disk controller cards you do have to worry that there might be no software drivers, but that's more often an issue trying to use a low-priced PC controller in place of an expensive controller that has mac drivers.
