Compatible RAM set up?

I have a gigabyte K8NSC MoBo nforce3 chipset. It has a 4 gig capacity. The Mobo and the processor support dual channel memmory. I have 1gig (2x512) of pc 3200. I also have some extra ram 512 (2x256) of pc 2100. The pc 3200 will work just fine for me, however, is there any benefit to slap the slower ram in my extra slots to help out ? I think the duel channel will still work I will be matching in pairs for all 4 slots. Hopefully the ram being used will be the faster pc 3200 in slots 1 and 2. Comments greatly appreciated.

Do you think the faster ram will be handicapped by the slower ram? The faster ram is in the first 2 priamary slots.

yes, the ram will be run at the slowest ram's speeds, unless you overclock it manually.

also, you will have no benifits from the extra 512. It will slow down your system and no apps need that much ram except CAD and possiblely bf2, which likes ram. but in the case of bf2, the slower timings will problably slow it down more than the extra ram will help.
