I'd like 2 gig of high-quality, stable, and fast ram for this Asus P5B Deluxe
MB...

Your top 3 picks, thanks...

Thx...

I went with the Buffalo Firestix. I had issues. I RMA'd them. I'm RMA'ing my motherboard, too, though, i've got a corrupt bios chip based on ASUS tech support. I've ordered the mushkin ddr2-800 CL4 sticks.
I'll let you know when i get them if you can wait.

A friend of mine bought the same memory on P5B deluxe. He had issues at first, but when he applied the 104 bios update, it was ok. His problem was the motherboard was recognizing 2GB memory although he had 4 sticks of 1GB.
I think it's a good memory, but like i said i ordered the mushkins because i'd like OC a bit.

I went with OCZ Platinum Rev2 2GB (4-4-4-15 @ DDR2-800) and it worked fine first boot. My board was shipped with an older BIOS from around August 2006, but the board still booted fine at 1.8V with both sticks in. I changed the voltage and dropped the timings and it is running fine now at DDR2-850 using BIOS 1004 (latest from Asus.com).

On my last few builds I've gone with Corsair as I had problems with OCZ a few years ago, but this time around it was literally $100 more for the Corsair 4-4-4-12 2GB kit than the OCZ, not worth it to me.

I received my Mushkin's yesterday. The same problem occurs when i plug them into slot 0 and slot 2.
they only work on slot 1 and 3.
if i install all 4 sticks, only slots 1,2 and 3 work.

I think my motherboard's slot 0 is problematic.
