Hello,
My question is relatively simple at this stage.
I want to purchase the P4C800 Deluxe with some DDR400 ram.
As I live in the far corner of the world (Africa), I don't want to order something from the USA which will not work.
I am looking at the Kingston Hyper X kit 512 (2x256) KHX3200K512.
On Kingston's site the moderator does not list this memory as compatible for the P4C800 Deluxe and their tech support does not recomend it, but the Value ram instead.
Further to that, I had several posts on the Directron.com help desk forums, and their moderator explained that the Hyper mem is faster (cl2), and that he has put various systems for the last year in which he used the Hyper X mem, and according to him, this mem seems to be most stable in comparison to others across wide range of mb's.
I have P4 1,7ghz (478) and want to use it with the new mb. Is this cpu fsb800? Will it affect in any way the top performance of the mem. If the cpu cannot take advantage of the ram's capabilities and the FSB, will that make them perform in lower "speed".
Thank you
