Compatible Desktop Wireless Adapter

I am trying to set up a wireless home network and other than the very basics I am lost. If I use a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 Smart Router/Access Point, what desktop wireless adapter will work with it?

Does it need to be a Buffalo also, or would it just need to be 802.11g compatible by any other brand? If any brand will work, can anyone offer a suggestion for a dependable adapter?

Thanks

Its always a good idea to get the router and adapter of the same make if you can.

For Recomendations - Personally I like Linksys and never had any problems with them. Works pretty fast for me. NetGear also has lots of fans

I'm Linksys shy right now. I have had trouble with them in the past, so I think I am going to try D-Link or Buffalo this go around and see if I get any better results, but I appreciate the feedback.
