Other than buying an "official" brand item, how do you verify you are getting a compatible quick charge cable for the newer dehices. I know that I have some devices that either won't charge or will indicate it's charging slowly using some of the cables I already have. Want to be sure what I pick up for some spares are compatible.

I check amazon reviews. And review online from trustworthy sources. Though those are rare.

AFAIK, and from my experience, I think Anker is legit and makes good quality cables (and some other stuff) for a very reasonable price.

Be very careful especially with USB-C ... many cables on Amazon especially don't comply with official specs.

The worry is from A-C cables.

Overall, stick with known brands. Anker is legit. Monoprice cables are also good.
