Compatibilty-mode reduces overall system performance?

I am getting this message under the performance tab of system properties. Under it it says all my drives are using compatibilty mode. I clicked on the details and it said it is doing this cause of a program in MSDOS.sys or config.sys that Windows doesn't recognize and it says it should list the program, but it didn't. How do I fix this???
