I have a problem using the compatibility fix on some of our Windows 2000 machines.

When logged in as admin. , I am able to right click on the shortcut to the program I need to run in the Windows 95 compatibility layer. When I log in as the user the tab is gone and I can't run the program.

I can't seem to find a registry key for this.

How can I get that compatiblity tab to show up under a regular user?

Thanks,

Slatr

I'm not sure if this could be a possibility, but it might be that only Administrators have the rights to change that. Try giving the regular user Administrative rights and see if that works. Hope this helps.

Thanks Ojai, that does work but when I take the admin rights away and log back in as the user, the program will still crash.

I can't get it to retain that setting.

Any other ideas?
