Does a motherboard which supports pc100 ram also support pc133 ram running on 100Mhz?

Kind of depends on the memory and on the mobo itself. In general, PC133 SDRAM will function as PC100 SDRAM without any problems.

If it doesn't say it can work with PC133 in the manual, don't try to put in 133. It won't work.

PC133 most likely will work on a PC100 or even a PC66 motherboard, provided the memory addressing is compatible. Some new modules have "high density" and sometimes on older boards only one side of the module will be recognized. For example, say you get a 256MB PC133 module that has chips on both sides. Some older boards may only detect one side, or 128MB. YMMV.
