Are there any Intel based (IBM compatible) computers that are not compatible with the Memtest86+ program ???

The reason I ask is because we have a user that has been having some various problems with her workstation (an IBM Aptiva) here at work and the other day I started the machine with a Memtest86+ diskette inserted and I did not even get the Memtest interface to see if there was any problems or not. What I got was a string of 4 or 5 digit numbers scrolling up the left hand edge of the monitor.

To my knowledge the Memtest diskette is O.K., it worked fine the last time I used it on MY workstation. I am going to test it again on my workstation this morning when I get to work.

Version 1.65 does that with alot of new chipsets, but then again, it's like 2.5 years old. Download version 1.70, it works better with the newer motherboards and RAM, anyway.
 
Had this exact same thing happen to me with V1.7 on a floppy. Worked ok until the last time I used it. Disk went bad, could not re-format it. V2.0 is out. Link
