I have a stock Acer and its says I have a H67 chipset. I ordered a new Sapphire 7970 dual-x for about 370$ and i just want to make sure everything will work right. I have enough room
In my case and I also got a new PSU in the way with the GPU. Thanks!:)

I'm in Canada, it was around 330$ without tax and stuff. I can post a link later as I am on my phone right now.

Oh! The one you linked there is the one I got. I ordered it yesterday with express, should be here sometime this week I am assuming.

Compatibility-wise, you will be fine. But Sapphire does recommend a 500-watt power supply with the card. If your Acer is completely stock, I doubt the power supply is putting out that much power.

I would worry about a 500w psu unless its a very good quality unit,my cx500 should have been able to power up a system that peaks at 300w with my new gtx770 which pulls comparable wattage to the 7970 but what happened is my system locking up and the funky smell of a stressed out psu.

Had to order a tx650,hook up my spare 17'' 1280x1024,drop tons of settings and enable vsync as a temporary patch so i don't pop my psu with high gpu loads and usage......hopefully my gtx650 arrives by wednesday.
