Does anyone know of the compatibility between these two? Of the people i have asked so far there has been mixed opinions, and asking ABit is useless.

I know that some old ppga motherboards will run the new fcpga cpu's but others won't and ABit fail to update their website or answer their emails. I have however downloaded and flashed the latest bios which claims to support upto 600mhz celerons (fcpga aswell as ppga i don't know!)

Any help is useful!

There is no Celeron ppga above 533MHz. All the 600MHz are fcpga. So if Abit post this "may be" ??? it is ok. If not get a Powerleap Neo S370 adapter.

I am currently using a Celeron FCPGA 533A on my BM6 running at 840 mhz.

Works like a charm. I do believe that the only caveat is that you need to have the latest bios for the BM6 to recognize it.

I have a BM6 revision #1.02 with the latest bios and am happily running my 533@880 1.7v . There is no need for a "neo" adaptor for the flip chip celeron II. Enjoy!!
