compatability ??

Im having power problems with an Asus P5B mobo and an older Antec 500W neo-power modular ps. The box runs WHS and wont shut down the fans/ 12V stuff from within windows.I have to hold in the power button to shut it off.Always needs several attempts to start it also.I read on new-egg customer reveiws about some compatability trouble with this combination but I cant find anything on the cure for it.I'm getting a newer ps, antec trupower 550, will this fix this?Maybe the mobo is just bad. A lot harder to replace that as it will anger the Gods of product activation, although the price is about the same.Before I look for anouther Asus P5B I think i'd look at the newer Gigabyte models. Newest Asus boards do not have ps-2 mouse ports for some reason so they're out.So where to go from here? If the new ps doesn't fix this problem then my little WHS project is in trouble.

At one point there were compatibility issues between some Antec NeoHE supplies and some Asus motherboards. You should contact Antec; they will provide you a free replacement if they believe that you are experiencing that problem.
