Comparison between 5500 and 32MB GTS?

Would anyone happen to know of a website with benchmarks comparing the two directly?
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I don't believe I could find anything on the exact topic(comparing these two particular cards).
Thanks!

there must be masses of comparisons! you might be better off looking at a V5 review because they arrived after the GTS.
performance graphs do not show really what the V5 is about. the V5 is for the gamer who cares about image quality, on "legacy" games also as the fsaa is very independent of game drivers.

if you're after benchmarks, don't bother. the GTS smokes the 5500 in default benchmarks.

Whether or not the 5500 is fast enough is another story.

If you can overclock your 5500 to ~183, the thing f'in' smokes.

If you can't, it's a dog.

also, 900 MHz+ CPU are required to get the full tilt on the 5500. I just got a replacement 5500 (burned out the other one when my cat knocked the fan header out during the night, D'OH!)

as it stands, I got a replacement that can neither do 183 MHz, nor can it handle a 133 MHz FSB (933 CPU). I'm stuck @ 166 and 840, and the 5500 is kinda slow in some games. :(

of course, my card is also malfunctioning, it shows white specks even before I try to overclock it, and it looks like there is a bunch of texture tearing, so.....

as it stnads, I'm going to get a 5500 as a replacement, cuz I happen to like the card quite a bit. :)

Yup runs pretty good at 183,but with the new drivers 196 is even more fun.;)
I was monkeying around with 3D# and new drivers and gave it a little push just for giggles. Formerly max through 3D# default bench was 190 now I get through it at 196,I get the odd bad post but I cant adjust my I/Ov. in Bios.:|......anyone know a reg hack or proggie to adjust?

mykex, you can hit 196??? OMFG, @ 191, it was almost as fast as the GTS in Q3 and Evolva, and that was with an aggressive lodbias setting.

The new drivers help and the mysite link in my sig is just some casepics ect.(changes monthly). It's a pretty heavily modifide V5 and the case cooling is geared towards it too. I know I could squeak 2-3 mhz more with more on the I/O but I cant adjust it without modifications to the board. I have even tryed to flash a bios from anouther board with the same chipset/pll,scary but hey shot in the dark. Of coarse the ultimate would be 200 stable.;)My kingdom for a darned .16v!

BTW ...check the BBS on X3DFX theres a guy claiming 212 stable and can run full 220,there is also a 6000 that we "just missed" the sale on..:D;):D??????

Well recoverd full from experiments and now testing the V6000 stuff, sofar I have had to downclock to 193 and screen has a very slow faint snake wave on the edge reguardless of adapter setting. Got a few broken toes on the mend so I finnaly have time for this stuff at the right time. I just wish the drivers wouldnt come all at once like this its hard to choose the perfect combo.:( I might even break down and buy UT or something to get some better bench compairs than 3D#.

The V5 is faster in Glide and about 5-15% slower in D3d, but has faster and better FSAA and image quality overall. V5 isn't made anymore and has not support.
