Without saying what you're doing, I'm pretty sure the intel would be faster.

Personally, I would get a combination (C2D and nVidia).

Overall, system #2 is better.

But why are we picking between these two?

#1 would win if overclocked

I don't like either choice really...

#2 Has the better graphics card, 2Gb of much better RAM and a processor that's almost as good. If you're gaming, I think you'd get better performance from the second. The second one's PSU is huge overkill, mind.

Is this a strange new take on a "help me pick PC parts" thread?

I have a straight choice between those two PCs. I am essentially a gamer. (no mix and match). While i would prefer the intel CPU with 7900GTO and 2gig ram, i do not have that choice.
