I have 900 Duron that I want to upgrade to a new mobo and chip for myself, so I wanted to pass along the case and chip to a friend. I want a mobo that is stable firstly. On-board sound and/or video are a plus, epecially sound.

Compgeeks has the CT-7AJA2E for 33.50. It has on-board sound.

I have heard good things about the ECS K7S5A SiS® 735 SOCKET A MOTHERBOARD at newegg for 54.00.

I do not need the 266 fsb or the possibility of ddr memory, but if it is stable I could shell out the extra 20.00. Any thoughts??

Thanks in advance!!

I would go for the Chaintech personaly it is cheaper and i haven't had any problems with any of the boards I have bought from compgeeks. I just bought a 25 dollor Soyo Celeron board which is running great especialy considering the price i payed for it. I have a friend who has used Chaintech boards and loves them for bang for the buck computers.

Thanks for the info, I am leaning that way, since yo upgrade any further requires a new proc, case and ps, so I do not need the extras on the other board, unless the chaintech has any stability problems.
