I have been debating between the two boards. From what I can read:

1. Both board are likely to be very similar in performance.
2. MSI has 1 extra PCI slot. DFI has one extra PCIex16
3. MSI has a Silicon Image chip that allow 4 additional SATA connection with RAID 5.
4. DFI lacks serial and parallel interface but have 2 more USB port in the back.
5. DFI has the Karajan audio module which is suppose to reduce noise and cpu load.

Are there any differences I am not seeing from the spec?

Is there any noisy components on either board (such as a chip fan)?

What's the sound output from either one using SPDIF and analog? I am worry about crosstalk from the integrated sound..

What about the BIOS? I am less interested in overclocking and more interested in undervolting.

I have heard horror story about RAM compatibility. I currently have a set of Mushkin 2x512Mb DDR400 RAM (2.5 latency). Is this RAM going to work?

I notice that both use 24-pin ATX2 power supply. I currently own an Antec Smartpower 350. Can I use this PSU with a converter. It's probably not ideal, but all I plan to run is probably a video card at the moment (most likely a 6600GT).

It looks like DFI will be a quieter board. It has a magnetic fan that's very quiet compare to the noisy stock fan on the MSI.
