Comparing Medicaid by State

Hey guys. I'm in the process of deciding whether to go to grad school in NY or CA. As such I'd like some information regarding the Medicaid/MediCal comparison between various states. Is this location available anywhere? I googled and only saw a study in 2007. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you can get Medicaid in NY you are set. One third of our people are on medicaid, we have the largest medicaid expenditures of all states, in fact we account for more than 1/8 of all Medicaid spending. 2012 was over 53 billion dollars. People move here just to get on Medicaid. Now whether you qualify remains to be seen, but like I said you are set if you can do it.

Looky here.

I think CA is probably second, since Obamacare expanded medi-cal, there are about 10 million people in the state on medi-cal. The only places that accept it are places that are full of mexicans and gangbangers so thats the risk you take.

your grad school doesnt give you insurance?

hey thanks for the info. it's a small program so I don't think there's much...think we have a group rate or something...although I'm skeptical it'll be better than medicaid?
