Comparing 22" LCDs.

I'm building a new rig, main purpose is games, but it should be able to handle anything, except calculating spacetime dilation around a singularity (but that would be a bonus).

Here is two monitors. The Sceptre was recommended to me, but I looked a bit more and found the Acer. The acer comes with a DVI cable, the Sceptre does not, so in the end, they are equivalently priced.

I'm learning that response times are not a good indicator of performance because it's dependent on how the measurement was taken.

The color depth is 16.2M for Acer, 16.7 for Spectre, not a big deal IMO (if I remember right, the human eye can only process so many at one time, the rest discarded).

The contrast ratios are 2000:1 for Sceptre and 800:1 for Acer. Other than the numerical disparity, is there a visual significance I can expect?

Does anyone have experience with these?

Acer AL2223Wd Black-Silver 22"
SCEPTRE X22WG-1080p Black 22"
Hanns·G HW-223DPB Black 22"

NOTE: The Hanns-G was added later.
