Comparative shopping for medical issues. Do you do it?

My health insurance pays 75% of what the cost of whatever is for dermatology related stuff. Prescription drugs, 75% cost is covered at the pharmacy. Anyway, I'm going to probably be calling some places tomorrow to compare prices. (Dermatology places to get on Accutane. >.> iPledge thing makes me unhappy because I can't use meds by mail then)

Do you call around to ask for prices? I'll be calling around for prices and soonest appointment.

If shopping for Medical Issues is your thing, I'd just find the cheapest Prostitute in town.

My insurance has a website it categorizes some of it.

I have a 'consumer choice' plan so the first $2000 of my yearly funds are up to me how to apply them and I can roll-over what I don't use.

Some doctor's do bill/negotiate to a much lower rate for service.
