I am looking for a fairly "cool" looking keyboard for our visitors' centre, and have seen pictures of the compaq wireless (infra-red) keyboard. It looks pretty good, but they are not available in the UK yet. Has anyone had a chance to use one? If so, is it any good to use?

Don't buy this infra-red wireless keyboard.
It only works when you have clear path from keyboard
to the infra-red sensing.

If you want wireless keyboard, consider the
Logitech wireless RF.
It uses radio frequency, thus you don't need a clear
path, and it works reliably.

I haven't used this particular keyboard, but I have used several other infared keyboards and they are such a pain. Any little thing that gets in the way will screw up transfers. I have since boutgh the logitech RF keyboard and it works great.

Hope this helps,
Ben
