Given two laptops with similar specs (T4200 in the Compaq and T4300? in the HP), is there any reason to justify the extra $100 for the HP?

Compaq CQ60z vs HP G60T

The 100Mhz or whatever won't bother me, and the Compaq is $500 vs the HP's $600. Just wondering if there's a difference in build quality or durability.

Yes - they have different CPUs. The HP has an Intel Dual Core and the Compaq has an AMD Sempron.

Or not? The Compaq has a T4200 vs the 4300 I'm looking at in the HP.

Sorry Rottie - just going by the reviews.

HP

CP

I agree with the Kia Caddy notion . . . :)

And the HP has a sexier, fingerprint magnet case.

the cq60 has many models. the Z ones are all amd though.

if its one of the intel ones and is a 100mhz difference then it probably is exactly the same as the HP underneath anyway.
