I've been looking at getting one of these soon, and i was wondering if there are any good alternatives in the price range. I have it configured with a core solo processor at about 1.8Ghz (not sure the exact clock), 512 megs of ram, brightview screen, imprint finish, 6 cell battery for about 600 bucks after shipping and mail in rebate. Are there any good alternatives for that price? I'm really likeing the 14 inch size, so id prefer anything that size. From what i read the post HP Compaqs are fairly decent, and this gets fairly good reviews.
EDIT: I went with the core solo to get better battery life, the 12 cell battery would be a cheaper route, but it seems too large, ideally i could have both...... maybe someday lol.
