I have an issue with a Compaq server. It has 3 18 gig drives Raid 5. 1 gig C partition, the rest is E. The drives are basic, by the way. They want to ad another 18 gig drive to the array, and give another gig to C and the rest to E. I installed the drive, and it was added to the array. However, it was added to the array as a second logical drive. Windows 2000 will not support logical drive extension. Powerquest Volume manager will not work as the free space is on a seperate logical drive. Compaq says the only way we can add this space to the drive is to wipe the partition, recreate it and restore. I'm hopping someone here can give me a way around this. I know you can do folder redirection, but the need the space in general, multiple folders, and it would be about as much hassle to restore everything.
Any ideas
