I just got really lucky. My father's company has been cleaning a bunch of old storage rooms containing old computers ranging from pentium 75mhz to 500mhz amds. Since he is in charge about most of the computers and stuff he got first dibs and grabbed a whole bunch of stuff.

One thing he got is a compaq storage thing with 8 scsi drive bays with 4 12 gig drives in it. its got a 68 pin scsi plug on the back of it and i have an scsi card with a 50 pin plug on the back of it. these plugs arnt like ide cables but more like the plugs on back of printers.

Would i be able to buy a cable with a converter and plug it into my network this way or do i need a 68 pin card?

***its a compaq proliant 3092 if that helps

Sounds like the device you picked up has a SCSI 1 Centronics connection on it, looks alot like a printer. You should be able to go to a real computer store, IE not best buy, and pick up a cable to go from the SCSI 1 centronics to your SCSI 2 card. If you have any problems finding the right cable please E-mail me and I will set you up.
