Compaq R3000 P4 2.4Ghz laptop: Memory question

I have a Compaq R3000 (R3060us) laptop, which has a mobile P4 2.4Ghz processor. I am going to upgrade the memory today. There's one accessible open slot. I have two appropriate SODIMM memory chips on hand: 1 256mb PC2700 stick; 1 512mb PC2100 stick.

My question: Which is the better choice? Am I going to see much of a performance hit on this laptop using PC2100?

I'm pretty sure that both sticks will run @ pc2100 just fine and you should be able to use both of them. i could be wrong but i dont think any laptop runs higher than a 133 fsb anyway.
