Compaq Presario Athlon Upgrade possibilities...

I'm pretty new to this kind of thing, so I would like some possible help/suggestions please.

I have a Compaq Presario 5900z with an Athlon 700. I would like to go higher, say 950, but I'm not sure the motherboard will support it. I looked at the motherboard and found the following info: Compaq SPS-BD 1394 Motherboard.

Does this mean anything? Can I upgrade?

Maybe. I would guess it's a classic so the big problem will be to actualy find a classic athlon at that speed(there are still some on the net)

So how would I go about finding out if I need a classic Athlon or whatever else I might need?

I upgraded my Compaq Athlon 700 classic to a 1GHZ Slot A T-Bird from http://www.Paragoncomp.com/cgi-bin/enhanced. They still have some 1ghz Slot A chips listed for about $215.
