Compaq Presario 1700 Laptop and Windows 2000 Pro???

Looking at a "good deal" Compaq Presario Laptop and I want to do a "clean-install" of Windows 2000 Pro....Anyone have this laptop with Win2K installed? If so, does all the hardware work or driver problems?

The Compaq web site has many broken links for driver download on this model 🙁
 
It should work fine. You may have to hunt for drivers and such at the mfr sites for components though.

I had win2k on my presario 1685 before it bit the dust.
