I purchased an old laptop for Compaq Presario 1610 (Laptop). I reformatted the hard drive and installed Windows Me.
The problem I have been having is with the mouse cursor. If you move the touchpad or mouse even slightly fast, the cursor diappears; then reappears. It's absolutely annoying and makes it very difficult to work with. Perhaps if I can find the correct monitor driver, I believe it may resolve this problem. Initially the monitor LCD is recognized as a Plug & Play monitor. I did try choosing a different monitor type, but was afraid of messing something up by performing a lot of trial & error tasks.
Does anyone know what moitor driver (from the list) I should be using? I have gone to the Compaq/HP site, but could locate no solution. Any help would be appreciated.
