My friend has a Compaq Presario 1500 notebook that's been having some power troubles for the past two days. When it's plugged in, it acts like there's no power. (To confirm it, it doesn't boot up when the battery's out and the power's plugged in.) The same happens when a port replicator is attached and the power is plugged into it.
However, he says that when the replicator is "partially" attached without locking it, it works normally. He tried it with a different AC adapter, same result.
Any ideas? It seems pretty strange to me...
